What is Wordle?

Wordle gives you six goes to crack a hidden five-letter word. After every guess the tiles change colour to tell you which letters are spot-on, which are in the wrong place, and which aren't in the word at all.

Type any five-letter word and press enter.

Special Rule:: In our Wordle, the hidden word never repeats a letter. You can still use words with double letters in your own guesses - just not in the answer.
Apply what you've learned on the next guess.
Aim to land the word within six attempts.

How to Enable Unlimited Mode?

Fancy another go straight after solving today's word? Unlimited mode is made for that. No queueing for midnight - just keep playing for as long as the mood takes you.

What is Unlimited Mode?

Unlimited mode (sometimes called infinite mode) hands you a fresh word the moment you finish the last one. No waiting for the clock to tick over - if you want another round, just refresh.

How to Switch to Unlimited Mode?

Tap 'WORDLE+' at the top of the game screen.
Or swipe the board left or right - quickest way to hop between modes.
Choose 'Infinite' mode - the current mode name is shown, so keep swiping until 'Infinite Mode' appears.
That's it. Play without limits - after each round, tap refresh and the next word lands.

Tips for Playing Wordle

Open with a word that mixes common letters and different vowels (try ARISE or STARE).
Keep track of confirmed letters and where you've placed them.
Colours on the keyboard show which letters you've already tried.
In hard mode, any revealed letters must be reused in later guesses.
